View OR directors
Unisphere supports the display of OR director information.
Prerequisites
See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.
About this task
For a storage system running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079), a new OR emulation has been added to replace all previous Open System Front End and RDF emulations (see Understanding OR Directors). The system hardware view has an OR DIRECTORS tab, a BE DIRECTORS tab, an EF DIRECTORS tab, and an EM DIRECTORS tab.
Steps
- Select a storage system running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079).
- Select System > Hardware.
-
Click the
OR Directors tab.
The OR Directors list view opens. A filtered list view is displayed. Virtual ports are filtered out of the view. The following properties display (unfiltered view):
Director Director name. Port Port number. Director Status Director status. Port Status Indicates whether the port is online or offline. Enabled Protocol Indicates the protocol setting (SCSI FC, iSCSI, NVMe/FC, NVMe/TCP, RDF FC, or RDF GIGE). Port Type Indicates if the port type is Fibre or GigE. Speed GB/sec Indicates negotiated speed. Alerts Director alert status, as indicated by icon color:
One or more fatal alerts
One or more critical alerts, with none higher
One or more warning alerts, with none higher
One or more informational alerts, with none higher
No alerts
Virtual Indicates if the port is virtual. Port ID Port ID. To see more information about the details and performance of a director, select a director and click
. The properties that are displayed depend on the protocols that are enabled on the director. Some of the following properties and controls are environment-specific and therefore may appear in a different order or not at all.
Director Director name. Port Port ID. Type Type. Director Status Director status. Port Status Indicates whether the port is online or offline.
